‘CELEBRATE WITH BOOKS’
26.04.2017-12.05.2017
“A book is the only place in which you can examine a fragile thought without breaking it, or explore an explosive idea without fear it will go off in your face.” – Edward P. Morgan
The month of April is the most celebrated in libraries throughout the world since it holds many events. So, with the aim of encouraging reading and promoting books, LRC organized “Celebrate with Books”- a Book Fiesta. The days celebrated were: Shakespeare’s Birthday, World Book Day and International Children’s Book Day. Invites were sent across to the staff in their mails. Each teacher was given a Bookmark on visiting the LRC. Fun worksheets focusing on Books and Language were arranged for the students across grades. Sonal Ma’am, Seema Ma’am, Bhulakshmi Ma’am and Natasha Ma’am came with their classes. The students of grades 6-8 had lots of fun solving word search in French and Spanish, while grade 10 were seen challenging each other in solving the word search on Macbeth and The Winslow Boy. Students enjoyed the activities a lot and were checking out the books and asked for suggestions to select books.
