The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of the Shri Ram School is a proactive support group of parents that is deeply committed to the idea that the intellectual, physical and emotional growth and development of our children can only be pursued through an effective and mutually supportive 3-way relationship between the child, the teacher and the parent.
To facilitate the process the PTA has been structured to include an Executive Committee (EC) which represents the PTA group and is the primary interface with the school. Its role is to bring to the notice of the school issues that reflect the concerns of the majority of the parent body, at the same time communicating the school’s perspective on issues to the rest of the parent group.
Every class is represented by a parent called the Class Representative (CR) and every form by a parent known as the Form Representative (FR). This group has a key role in facilitating communication and constructive feedback between the parents and the school.
The PTA also considers itself to be a resource to the school whenever their help is needed. Various Working Groups have been created for this and parents are urged to join at least one.
It is important to remember that the PTA is primarily an advisory body, which plays no role in the administration or policy matters of the school.
